My Pro-Choice Perspective
What being a Pro-Choice Therapist means to me:
Being a pro-choice therapist means that I support the right to choose what happens to one's own body without judgement. The power to make and act on decisions about reproduction lies with the individual and should be protected and respected. Being a pro-choice therapist means I create a safe place to discuss personal choices.
Why I think bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are important:
Body autonomy is important because it is a fundamental right that is central to gender equality. Nobody should have the ability to wield power over another person's body. Equality and freedom require choice for autonomy, dignity and basic human rights.
